Original Title: Seems like VRAM is a hot topic lately. Everyone saying 8gb in a GPU is practically foolish and claiming 12gb-16gb is a must. How and where and when do we see the VRAM of a GPU significantly impact gaming performance in a real way?

Is 8gb VRAM actually obsolete or is it just expected to be obsolete in the next couple of years?

Is there any particular game that’s been released recently that simply demands more than 8gb of vram?
