I personally want to buy a CD-player and a laptop with a DVD drive and start collecting CDs and DVDs again. I think that it’s nice to own a physical copy of something. I also think this will make me listen to albums and watch movies more. I’m done with Netflix and Spotify since you don’t own the media you consume and they can take it down anytime. But it’s also nostalgia for me since DVDs and CDs were everywhere in my childhood and we went to the record store and the video store a lot.
But what do you think about it? And what do you think about CD vs Vinyl vs Cassette?
I still prefer storing something in an external drive. That said, I agree. The fact that we can’t even own the shit we bought woth our blood-earned money is sad.
Digital media would be a much better alternative, if it wasn’t for the fact that the majority of the time, there is some form of DRM attached to it.
Yeah. Dad has a full hard drive of pirated shows, movies and games ranging from One Piece to Battlefield 3, Kingdom, The Walking Dead seasons 1-10, and some other ones I don’t remember
