Paul McCartney’s official Reddit account seems to have been banned. The account, u/paulmccartney, had just dropped a set of photos and videos from the first night of his shows at the Fonda Theatre. It went straight into the r/PaulMcCartney subreddit. Then, not long after, the whole thing disappeared.

You know how I know boomers are not on Reddit. Because shit like this happens to them and they don’t bother fighting it, they just go vote for a MAGA or a socialist and hope to watch the country fight each other on CNN and Fox.

You know McCartney is British, right? Quite famously so?

You know there are non US citizens who can be boomers and some have even been seen wearing MAGA hats, right?

If you think the same shit isn’t happening everywhere else in the world then wtf was Brexit about?

Oh yeah, fascism/vice-signalling definitely becoming more prominent here too, though mostly because the media makes them prominent. They tend not to show the “hope not hate” or “march against racism” rallies. A bit too hopeful

Sadly, socialism-lite is the nearest thing that tends to come up. Like “we can keep capitalism and billionaires, but a bit less” rather than stopping it

      From r/paulmccartney, posted on 3/31:

Heya folks! Me again - to give a little more context, the account in question was temporarily restricted due to a routine security step that requires the account holder to reset their password (this can happen if it’s been a while since a user last logged on, among other reasons). Because of a bug, the account was incorrectly shown as “banned” (even though it wasn’t). We’re working on fixing this bug so these issues don’t happen in the future. Just to be really clear again, the mods here had nothing to do with this and never banned Sir Paul.

Thank you, FDT, for making me aware that macca had a reddit account. I won’t be following it, but it’s intersting to know that it exists.
