It’s a very good game but I don’t remember getting any trans vibes from it.

There are two main characters who are gay but this is not a huge plot point. They just mention it in passing.

Additionally, there was a perk in Fallout 3 which gave you extra speech options for characters of the opposite sex.
In FNV they made it two perks, one that gave you extra speech for men and another for women. Essentially allowing you to roll play as a gay or bi character of either sex.

So it was pretty progressive for a 2010 AAA game.

And then there was the streamer who loaded up an old save from long before her transition, and her character looked like her post-transition:

For the same reason the Blahaj is a trans mascot. Trans people said so. No real reason, it just happened enough it became a meme and then people took it in all seriousness.

Blahaj has the same color scheme as the trans flag and is cute.

I see. I think your question is more: “Why do many trans people like Fallout New Vegas so much?”. Written as is, your question reads like there are above average occurrences of the theme in the game.

I think it’s a smidge more than liking, it’s more “claiming” or some such.

Me no word good on Wemsday.

Eh, people like to claim stuff, especially if they are marginalized. I wouldn’t think too much about it. But thanks for bringing this up, never knew the trans gamer community feels like this about Fallout NV.

Never played it so I can’t answer the question but here’s an article I found when I looked it up that clarified it a bit for me.

The game itself is not “trans” but it correlates with the dominant age group of people who grew up with it and later on had changed their gender. And because it’s more niche than a typical AAA game which covers a bigger fanbase then some anon made that connection and others started picking this up. That’s just the way 4chan operates as it came from there. I wouldn’t waste too much thought on it
