There’s been a lot of misinformation around this article, but to clarify obviously the whole site is not rape content, but it exists on the site. The moderation team has no way of know what is and is not consensusal when it is posted on this site because they allow just about anything to be posted there.

That’s some fucked up shit right there.

Like, I don’t kink shame, but there’s a line. That line is where consent occurs, period. Someone that’s drugged can’t consent, and of equal importance, can’t withdraw consent. So there’s really no good way to explore that kink except by role play alone. Even that, you damn well don’t do it without a shit ton of check ins.

But those shitstains? Like it or not, a partnership comes with a default assumption that you have each other’s backs. You don’t betray that, ever. Rape is bad enough. Drugging and raping your partner is stacking horror on horror in a way that makes me question my belief that the death penalty shouldn’t exist. Some things are just so vile that anyone doing them can not be trusted to be anything other than vile in all ways.

makes me question my belief that the death penalty shouldn’t exist

Don’t know if you’re interested in my perspective but here it is anyway. Some people shouldn’t ever be allowed to live in society again (Bundy, GSK, BTK) and the death penalty can be the most efficient and effective method of ensuring the they never do. In an ideal world where there is perfect justice the death penalty can be justified. We don’t live in an ideal world. In practice governments execute a lot of innocent people. Governments also allow the death penalty to creep (if you can execute serial killers and mass murders then why not someone who’s only killed one person, then why not people who tried but failed to kill someone, then chronic violent offenders, then chronic non violent offenders…) Governments don’t apply the death penalty evenly or fairly, in particular race and socioeconomic status play a significant role in sentencing decisions. Governments view it as punishment which allows them to justify inhumane execution methods to themselves.

So, in my view, the death penalty can be morally justified but should never exist because governments can’t be trusted with it.

        I’m right with you.

My objection is the same. It isn’t so much that it’s never the right answer, it’s making sure it only gets applied in those cases, and making sure there’s no way possible that the verdict could have been wrong in the first plans

I’m not gonna experience this specific interactive news article, because I don’t wanna read that fucked up shit right now. But I really like it that they make these visual-novel style effects to present their story in a more interesting way.

The difference is when pornhub got in trouble they significantly changed how they moderate the site. Also I didn’t say we “don’t bother checking” I said we have no way of knowing on motherless. Those two things are very different. I can check and reverse image search and look for existing pornstars/of models but if it’s only posted to motherless and it’s some amateur porn, because of the poor moderation, there’s a significantly higher chance that it is non consensual content. I’m just not willing to take on that type of liability.
