I just got banned from CGPeers, through a sort of misunderstanding.

Everything was working fine, I usually use CGPeers to download stuff I cannot afford, nearly a 4 year old account. No bad behavior at all.

I just noticed few hours ago, that my upload was disabled. Okay that is not a biggie… since I don’t upload any torrents at all, so I got curious.

Tried to talk to one of the mods in CGPeers chat, since my experience there has been fine so far. In the middle of the conversation, where I thought the mod was ‘okay’ & ‘listening’ … the mod just banned me not only from IRC… but from CGPeers site as well. The mod literally just gave that reason (i.e., said quote “you just won’t stop”) implying he warned me, when he didn’t.

Now I am trying to connect to IRC to even say sorry & I don’t even need my upload function at all, just want to somehow get my account back reasonably… but can’t connect. Should I just talk to site admin… or do something else.

I have screenshot of the conversation, and I don’t blame the mod much, he seemed overly paranoid due to recent inflow of malware uploads, but while he was talking to me, he seemed fine.

Its an mildly annoying situation…
