      This isn’t quite the same though is it? Food, water and essential supplies were purposefully cut off.

      You didn’t answer this part: given the fact that the last election was 2006 and about half of the population wasn’t even alive, did they really choose this?

          We don’t know, do we? Because there has been no election. On October 6th a poll of Gazans did not support your conclusion: here Afterwards it gets a bit complicated because there is a “rally round the flag” effect that tends to increase support for current governments in war.

          The point is that they do not currently have a democratic mandate.

          For some reason you people ignore every other actual atrocity going on in the world to hate the Jews even harder. 2 million Uyghurs dead at China’s hand? No outrage.
