No rules, means like “copying is not stealing”

If you try it, you will likely be sucked in, it is very very good. But only 10 issues, so can be read in an afternoon.

I read a lot: sci-articles code fiction nonfiction + yes comics books

Got into comics so late I skipped DC/Marvel, was given “Watchmen” (only DC ever); it was good, but best of all time?

the artform is so different, so much better

Rick Remender is one of the best living scifi #authors

From “Low”, “Tokyo Ghost”, “Black Science”, +more but those are sufficient to make the cut

I personally uploaded copies of the first 8 issues to my own server with no ads, or wait times, or anything else

Do I assume Linux? If you use Gnome the document viewer that comes with Gnome works perfectly for reading comics.

If you are using XFCE, or something similar, I would suggest probably Comix or the fork MComix both should be in your package manager.

More information would help me answer this easier. Calibre the ebook reader also handles comes pretty well.

If you are on MacOS, Simple Comic is a good open source reader.

Honestly, I read comics on a shitty tablet I only use for reading comics. I’d have to look at what I use again on Android.

If you are using Windows… I don’t know… please stop and please let me help you install an easy version of Linux to use. You can use all your software, even have a Windows VM if necessary.

I’m a mac user, but I’m not religious about it. I’ve done a decent amount of linux, but I was a photographer and using photoshop on a mac was the way of things at the time. I’ll look into Simple Comic. Thanks for the pointer

Everyone has different threat profiles, to be a conscious computer user you need to know what is the right amount of computer power for the desired project and tthe right type. GIMP was never meant to replace photoshop, its actually just a “spec” project to extend the feature set of the GTK UI library. ,

Krita is a lot better, but for me Inkscape is no replacement for my beloved adobe illustrator. But those are the two I use know and Painter.

I still will break out my drawing tablet every so often and paint something; I find it relaxing.
