Hi, Ivy Astrix here. I saw some of my work referenced here so figured I’d pop in and do an AMA. I did harm reduction at Vibecamp 1/2, and Vibegala 1/2. Happy to answer what I can as long as it doesn’t violate confidences or isn’t in service of personal grievances.
I fear that it will be like the lawsuits against churches in Canada or the Society for Creative Anachronism in the USA, where after decades of covering up for child abuse some survivors got some justice. It would have been better for everyone if they had just stopped and changed their policies the first time someone got hurt.
Content creator houses are new to me. Even Ozy Brennan suggested that there would be less situations like Leverage Research and the Zizians if rationalists stopped living in group homes and made sure to have social connections outside the movement.
