I got banned from a bunch of comms on startrek.website all at once with the word “tankie” as the justification. I had minimal participation on startrek.website. I’m sure it’s a coincidence that I was fighting with PugJesus on another instance at the time. And of course jordanlund uses the banhammer as a “win argument” button.
This happens on Lemmy too. Both Lemmy and Reddit are moderated by humans, and humans can be dicks.

reddit does it more aggressively, they have a way of detect crossposting and ban you accordingly.
It’s just third party tools, the exact same things can be built for Lemmy. Likely have, from some of the comments in this thread.
But why they are able to see my actions on any other sub even if my posts are hidden. Why is this even a thing? Just to assert dominance?
