words. i have extremely low self-esteem. so words mean an awful lot.

gifts are nice and all, but when I close my eyes at night to sleep I can’t take those with me.

words I can think back on and feel warm. 😊

I’m a middle aged white guy. Most of the time a stranger talks to me in public it’s to ask me for money or try to convert me. But twice this year someone just wanted to compliment my outfit. I was flying high from that for days and still smile thinking about it.

    So, thoughtful words every time.

    99% of the time, words.

Gifts are a wonderful thing, but the right words at the right time can change a life, or make one a bit more bearable

Even if someone can come up with a million things to gift me, I’d still choose words. They were the thing that saved me once. And, in fact, I’d love to be the one who’s words help someone. I had it too nice for a long while so… might as well help others out :3

Thoughtful actions, I need very little in material means and I can get the few things myself. Thoughtful words are nice (though with my history words often ring hollow), but thoughtful actions are what can make me very happy
