laugh now, but a future where your car tattles on you is not that far off.
Oh great a new age of phreaking and real hacking! I cant wait.
You didn’t hear about the one that drove to and waited for the cops because kids were drinking and playing with waterbeads guns?
Really streamlines the whole process
Lol, the npr segment about this was basically a wamo ad this morning. I shit you not they said, “The only good choice they made was taking a wamo.” I did a lot of stupid shit as a teenager but even I wasn’t dumb enough to do it in front of a bunch of cameras.
when i was a teen, pretty much the only security cameras i saw were at banks and on atms, and at the 7-elevens in sketchy parts of the city. there were also cameras overlooking parts of the freeways so the state could manage timed on-ramp meters better than by just vehicle counts alone.
(yea. i did some stupid shit back then.)

Unless you leave your phones at home and go way out into a forest or empty field, you’re always in front of a bunch of cameras these days. Everything and everyone is spying on you at all times.
The question I want to ask about that story is, would the outcome have been any different in a human driven cab? I can’t imagine a cab driver being cool with underage kids drinking in the back of their cab either.
People need to understand that if they say “I’m unhappy with our president,” in a Waymo, someone knows.
So the shool to prison pipeline is getting an update? About time.
Did you say you have the right to be an attorney?
