Some of this will be due to new features in the latest version but I think most of it is because previously PieFed was not accurately keeping track of user activity. Now that it is, the numbers are bigger.

Not really a trait unique to 4chan. If that were the reason there’d be a Twitter filter too.
Not unique no, but 4chan is kinda famous for it, which Twitter is not. Also the amount of racism is not comparable
Eh, that’s a subjective opinion. I don’t remember moot ever doing any nazi salutes when he owned the site. Most of the worst stuff attributed to 4chan (GG, Qanon, etc) either got kicked off of the site or came from 4chan derivatives.
Meanwhile on Twitter you’ve got people casually dropping the n-word in their checkmark-boosted posts while getting literal cash payouts for their purposefully incendiary content that generates engagement.
I haven’t visited 4chan in a decade, so good to hear that they have started to moderate. Before though, on 4chan the n-word wasn’t casually dropped but every other message lol. It’s not comparable. One is like the home of racism and the other has racists.
