        They tried to hide it by putting it in a non-plaintext format downloaded at runtime, the actual list isn’t in the source code.

          Yeah, but … they didn’t think anybody would read the source, see it calling to download that file, and wonder ‘what’s that file for?’

      Indeed. Software, especially FOSS software, is all about credit and reputation. And his is now trash. There is literally no one who’s going to trust his software going forward. He will have to change his username and start from scratch and hope nobody figures out who he actually is as he tries to rebuild his reputation somewhere else.
