Definition of tankies
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tankie
Tankie is a pejorative label generally applied to authoritarian communists, especially those who support or defend acts of repression by such regimes, their allies, or deny the occurrence of the events thereof.

Am I getting it right: An unactive mod got de-moded, in their farawell post they say that its fair but also leftist infighting bad and the situation is somehow interpreted by MLs as them being actively opposed?
If that’s what it is, its so funny
And also is throwing a temper tantrum trying to forcibly move other communities without having talked to the other mods and implying it’s the other mods fault the Com isnt more active, while being the only mod who hasn’t tried posting in over a year.
It really reminds me of when my nephew-in-law screamed about how he hates all of us because he was told he can’t hit his siblings and started throwing his toys around the room… He’s 4.
mods of a comm that has “fuck tankies” in tagline have a vote and agree to remove a tankie mod. there are receipts and entire post prepared in advance
at the same time said mod is removed as admin of a couple of matrix rooms. said mod is also db0 admin and seems to like leftist unity as long as it’s done her way only. three hours later she wakes up and her next move is to grab another, completely unrelated community and to move instances from blahaj to db0, a community where she was inactive as a mod for months, specifically so that it would be exposed to hexbear. we all know it works very well. it seems like this move was talked about with db0 admins but not other mods of said community.
this doesn’t go as intended, blahaj admin steps in and removes that mod from there too. the new community on db0 is also removed, which is something that can be only done by admin, presumably some other db0 admin. then said mod makes second big post, calls blahaj admin a reactionary, steps down as a db0 admin (“voluntarily”, somehow i doubt that), moves shop to hexbear (?)
I am a casual lemmy user, what would moving instances specifically to expose them to hexbear entail?
hexbear userbase are tankies/campists with extreme brigading habit, this is why many instances are defederated from them. including this one
imagine moving your family to a house next to a waterfall coming out of a sewer pipe
This really got me good thank you for the laugh
