    Thanks. I remember the first time it happened. I called my wife and we went to emergency care. The doctor there was pretty calm, and gave me some articles he printed out explaining opthalmic migraines. I was pretty nervous, because that first time it was scary. I thought I was having something like a stroke.

      For all my ophthalmic migraine buddies, (mine is sort of a sparkly crystalline rhomboid that gets bigger and “closer” until it seems like I’ve passed through it) :

      It’s good to know what it is and relax about it. BUT if one day you get something quite different from the usual, don’t assume it’s migraine. My dad got a weirdly different one, and it turned out to be melanoma in his brain. Finding out the truth didn’t save him but it bought him time to “get his affairs in order” for my mom’s sake and finish a book that was important to him
