i agree, the greatest fault the left has is the assumption people aren’t easily swayed by grifters and the fraudulent and that some degree of rationality will prevail.
The problem is there are a lot of stupid people and stupid people are inevitability conservative (not all conservatives are stupid but nearly all stupid people are conservative) and you need to use egregious lies and malfeasance to reach them. As Fox News has said in court they’re not News, they’re entertainment and no average person could make the mistake of thinking they’re News and yet here we are.
