Could do without the religious imagery. In the bible, god commanded Moses and his army to rape children. Maybe god is also a demon? Or more obviously, a human-made excuse to give one’s own ego divine authority.
There is no limit to the evil a person can do when they believe in magic because there is no accountability. “God sent these kids for me to take advantage of.” How do we prove them wrong?
The unfalsifiability of religious claims does not lessen the absurdity of their callousness and villainy.
The consistency of their depravity. The extremity of their betrayals… the lies. Even the fucking lies, like a never ending volcanic flow of disdain for reality itself.
It feels external to the range of human expression. It feels supernatural to me. I struggle bringing myself to accept them as peers in this universe.
I understand your sentiment, and perhaps my brain agrees… but my heart cannot accept it.
Many of these people are in secret cults that worship satan and/or various lords of the Christian hell.
They take from the poor and give to the rich. They murder children — because they’re losing their war to distract us from the fact they raped children. They accuse their opposition of the crimes they commit. They steal and cheat more than they breathe and eat.
Just analyzing this behavior is exhausting. Imagining the mindset of those who perform it is unfathomable. I am beyond incredulous. I cannot even imagine being how Donald Trump is.
I just want to avoid reinforcing their harmful delusions. The revolting truth is that people don’t need demons to act evil. But they throw around labels like “demon” and “sinner” to dehumanize people they don’t understand. The mythology gives them permission to be abusers.
