This happened to me recently as well, but I’m using this opportunity to finally get rid of my reddit addiction.
I don’t want to create an account. I don’t want to use new reddit. It gives way too many location dependent results, and the UI has me scrolling way too much to find the same amount of content as old reddit.
Something fun I found out recently though, is that apparently their new UI is so shitty you can be on a blocked page (due to potential NSFW content) and just remove two overlays and the CSS class that prevents scrolling the main body and… just have at it. Look at all the naughty things you like! This is the kind of thing that could be automated really easily with a browser extension. Protect the kids, except when it takes effort to actually write a proper backend, amirite?
