So I’m hoping this is the right place for this, but I think i have a problem that y’all can help with. I have a 3.5-4ft ball python (Oli Syyyykes) in a 40 gal wide glass tank. Ik its too small, but im actively looking for a bettet enclosure for her. So. My question is can I take 2 40gal wide tanks and use aquarium silicone to somehow connect the 2 and make a massive space for her? I know that I would need to make a custom lid and it would probably need a support bar across the top. What do y’all think? Is this a ridiculous stoner idea? TIA
Shes a pretty thick snake - probably a bit bigger than s soda can sized around. Do you think cutting that big of a hole would cause stuctrual issues?
Well yes if you had the glass support her weight but you could build a metal support frame around the hole on both sides of the glass, such that the glass doesn’t need to structurally support the pvc at all.
