the saddest part is that we normalised 650$ phones being ‘mid-range’
In the US, on eBay you can get a used Pixel 7 Pro for around $200. It’s a flagship from a few years ago, and you can install GrapheneOS. I’m willing to bet it’s more powerful than this phone, too. I’d always recommend something like that first. Maybe not as feasible for people overseas though?
nah, same-ish in eu… i tend to go for the really low end (motorola usually has a phone for about 100-200€) cos i only really use lemmy, calls, messaging and bank (the one that doesn’t let me switch to custom full time D:) and they usually last me at least 2 years… don’t think a flagship would last me 10 tbh x)
