I saw one today where there was no price at all for diesel. Figured it was just a sign glitch or something, as other places have some, but maybe not if their supplier is low.
If it makes you feel any better, it’s not like poor Americans are doing much better because of the lower sticker price. Federal minimum wage is (still…) $7.25/hr, less for some tipped jobs, and a lot of people with those jobs have a significant commute. It’s the same system where the working class is squeezed to the breaking point in the service of shareholder value, just with slightly different minimums for different things.
i remember when gas stations had to fabricate a “1” to put in front when prices first went over $1 per gallon because their price signs didn’t have a ‘dollars’ digit.

A few scattered places in California have diesel prices that are higher than $10/gal, so the sign cant show the price correctly
Sign companies are getting excited.
Normal European prices 🚀
It really does infuriate me seeing them bitch about incredibly low fuel costs.

Do servers that get paid $2.13 an hour bother you?
Thanks to the assclowns piloting the economy, I make the exact same as I did in 2013. Less after inflation. I used to make quite a chunk more.
Seen that too. Inconceivable!
