The federal center is entering the kind of decay that has ended other unions. The more autocratic the country becomes, the weaker Lincoln's case for staying, and the stronger the case for going.

      A successful one, too. Sure, he didn’t manage to retain the government at the time, but he also wasn’t executed for treason. So now, 4 years later, he is back in power and actively shredding any constitutional safeguards that would prevent him from turning it into a dictatorship.

          Orbán’s was called a “constitutional coup” by some scholars. Some even suspected he lost in 2006 on purpose, to boost the amount of votes he’d receive.
