I was doing a quick assignment for someone in Pike Place Market – not so much about making art, but rather capturing reference photos and images of signage and architecture, just moving through and capturing all the angles and all the textures and all the surfaces.
And I got lucky with a stray snap of the lens.

Is it film? What “recipe”?
This was shot with a 24mm prime lens with the aperture blown wide open. And I think the greengrocer behind the counter there actually had a spotlight pointed right at them, so it worked well to the advantage of the picture. Folks in focus are bright, and folks who don’t blend into the shadows at the bottom!
