I agree, yet every Dem candidate in recent memory has done exactly that. If it’s not a party plank it might as well be. If more than half of the party’s elected members are taking bribes from AIPAC, then the distinction between “a party plank” and “individual members’ policy preferences” is so blurry as to be irrelevant.
My point is that it is not a Democrat or Republican thing. It’s an America problem.

No, I never implied that at all. The best opportunity I have when voting, is to send a signal saying “Nope, I don’t want this, and I’m not going to support it”, and then not supporting it.
