You sounded so serious. It’s an art installation! Purpose is to make us think about death sentences, and what a humane one would look like. The ones we employ in the USA are very painful, often go wrong, and require actual federal crime to perform in the case of lethal injections as in the Dream Pharma debacle to source the poison going against federal regulations.
It speaks to the absurdity of the death penalty, and how if would really mean to be “humane” in state sponsored killings, this is a cheap, safe, 100% reliable, and fun way to die. So why not prefer this over injections, or hangings, or firing squads?
Anyway that’s what I got from it at least.
Edit: personally I think carbon monoxide is the answer. It’s free, simple, painless, and very effective.
Why?
Should I be feeling something else on the topic of real-life Saw Traps?
