If you can, thin socks and either really thick or thin socks over them. Heel rub happens when the sock sticks to your heel (sweat) and also to the inside of the heel counter on the shoe. Two layers this does not happen as the layers slide past each other. I always liked Blundies when they were made in Taswegia, but they’ve fallen off the radar now.
It’s hard lol because I have a bunion on both feet (so they’re wider at the toe joints than at the heel), so I’m usually a 9 or a 9 1/2, but sometimes 10, sometimes 8 1/2 lol. I generally have to try on the shoes before I know
It’s all good, I got a pair paid for by my job provider :3 nothing out of pocket here bby lol
Just picked up my first pair of steel toe boots, courtesy of the The Man.
Nice a simple black boot. Tested them out by having partner stand on the toes while I was wearing them and I felt nothing lol.
All set for Monday morning ✨

Wear thick socks because they can start to hurt when they’re new.
Thirding the thick socks. My Steel Blues were absolute bitches to break in, but once I did they became my favourite shoe ever.
Redback are my fave brand. Super comfy.
Seconding the thick socks!! It’s the heel rub that gets me. Get Dubbin if you don’t already have any.
