Assuming ethical considerations are addressed I agree. Just at the moment blocking AI contribution is a helpful heuristic for catching slop. Same reason why I geo block IPs for my self hosted home services. Could my fam or friends be in Russia? I guess, but I’m pretty safe to just block any Russian IP for those services until I’m told from a credible source that they are infact that IP.
