Hallowed be thy ween

I heard they made up and, as a result, the Great Pumpkin was born.
The pumpkin was probably in chahoots with that cursed fig tree!
The mice were trying to get the pumpkin home by midnight but the pumpkin wanted another ride around town looking for that glass slipper. Jesus put an end to that nonsense.
And, most importantly, he lost.
Oh man, classic Onion was so good.
God works in mysterious ways.
I was there when Halloween switched from scary to sexy. I started going to the WeHo Carnaval and the ladies of Southern California never disappointed. I showed up one year as Towelie and got to take pictures with all sorts of hot stoner chicks. Now I hand out candy and when high school girls show up I’m like yikes who let you out like that?!
halloween didn’t exist when i was a kid. but easter did. so it’s not the existing that makes it about jesus, but something else entirely
How old are you??
Halloween is 2,000 years old!
halloween was imported here by a costume store in 1997. there are newspaper articles about it.
Wow, I had no idea! Just looked it up (assuming you’re in New Zealand) and read about this.
no it happened in multiple countries in the 90s, it was very much a us-centric thing before that
edit: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Geography_of_Halloween most of europe actually
Yeah in the states I seem to remember stories being orientated around Halloween turning* into to much destruction and a woman in Kansas (Elizabeth Krebs) in the early 1900s started throwing large Halloween parties and inviting all the kids so they’d all get together party late into the night and people wouldn’t have the time or energy to go around destroying shit.
here it’s because of the extreme commercial nature of halloween infringing of the older tradition of caring for your loved ones’ graves.
I was in The Netherlands on Halloween a few years ago and nobody really knew what the hell we were talking about.
I thought it was because Jesus fucked a pumpkin?
