Problem is the problem can’t be solved by locking anyone up. As long as they’re are billions of dollars to be made someone will always fill the void. I agree that deals should be locked up but how are they planning on stopping the next guy? Without a social plan to prevent and treat addiction it’s a lost fight. The war on drugs failed purely because it was punitive only. You cannot fix things by hitting them with a stick, no matter how many morons swear by the practice.
No matter what ELSE a valid fix should include, getting rid of irresponsible dipshits that get people killed is a good thing. Any drug dealer interested in keeping customers should be punishing people selling them fentanyl, not attempting to distribute it.
