It’s a feature, not a bug.

While abuse is not what it’s supposed to be for, the activity pub function is about interoperability and democraticization. It’s up to individual instances to set policies and , if necessary, block instances that are problematic to them.

Abuse is easier because of that, but every public forum is vulnerable to abuse, but lacks the interoperability and choice.
