Just want to get some general discussion going :D
As for me, I’ve played a necrotic spell Warlock, seems bonkers strong, even though I barely have good equipment.
Also, I’ve finally y managed to get into a faction, the Circle of Fortune. Seems very nice so far.
I finally got some solid playtime in tonight. Seems like they are making progress on stability. Anyways I’m playing a torment necrotic dot cthonic fissure warlock and it’s been insane leveling. Currently level 47 . One click and just keep running and everything dies to dots behind me. Really loving it so far and excited to get into the new faction stuff
Whoa, that’s crazy, that’s the build I’m doing!
I’m doing a Forge Guard Summoner. The Forged Weapons and Manifest Armor have been pretty solid so far.
I don’t have a current build guide to follow but thankfully the game is easy enough to decipher with plenty of depth to explore.
edit: A correction, it’s called Manifest Armor and not Molten Armor.
I’ve tried FG with minions before but just couldn’t do it properly. Felt incredibly slow - but then again I generally don’t like minion builds. So maybe I should check out a fire dmg FG one day!
I love minion builds especially if I can make any kind of lazy summoner build. I don’t need speed just to be able to chill with podcasts while playing.
I mean, that’s fair. :)
I could try them again, but with 1.0 adding many other enticing possibilities I would rather try other stuff.
Good luck to you building that magic armour/weapon fantasy!
Started a birb build yesterday, but for some reason, really early game seemed harder than last patch. Only played a bit though due to the initial server fires. Really liking acid flask as a trap though.
Sounds awesome! I want to wait with the Birb until I get a certain unique for a build I had in mind.
As for your difficult early-game: I think they slightly increased enemies health and damage with this patch. But imo rogue has the weakest early game, coupled with not shards/uniques from other characters, the beginning can actually feel challenging!

Should’ve just had capped resistances already

My condolences. I’ve been playing offline, so I had (almost) jobs of those issues.
But rest easy, with the runemaster you will be able to make up the lost time by zooming through the campaign in a heartbeat. And look cool while doing so :D
I’ve been playing offline (and plan to - the ability to pause is helpful for me) and loving it. I played a decent amount in early access but mostly as a Primalist so I’m going Sentinel. Not sure if I want to go Paladin or Void Knight though.
I choose rouge Marksman masterly because I love bows and arrows game is fun so far it’s my first arpg experience and the game plays really well on deck.
Marksman was also one of my first - watch out for unique bows, they all are generally really good for certain builds and playstyles, especially DoT and elemental builds :)
Played almost non-stop since launch. Despite the server issues I was having a really good time. I’ve now got 3 characters in end-game; just unlocked empowered monoliths with one and close to unlocking them with a second character. I started with a spellblade as my main, then created a warlock to play with my husband but she’s now my highest level character (level 86). A few days ago I created a falconer which I’m actually enjoying the most out of the 3 classes I tried.
I joined CoF and really enjoy that faction. I initially decided to mix things up and join MG on my falconer but that quickly got boring because I didn’t really see any benefits while I was leveling and I personally enjoy lots and lots of loot so I think CoF is better for me.
Although I’ve been using loot filters since the start I found that my stash tabs tend to be full a lot. So I had to spend quite some time at the weekend reorganising my tabs and selling or shattering loot that I wouldn’t be using on the characters I’m playing at the moment.
Usually I get bored around endgame because ARPGs of course tend to be grindy and it sometimes takes quite a while to get the loot you want. But with the crafting system I’m actually finding this a lot less boring than in other ARPGs. It feels more rewarding even if I don’t have the ‘perfect’ gear yet.
