      The government did not overstep. We hand one the most muted and incompetent responses of any government in a wealthy industrialized nation. Trump and his fascists literally did everything they could to accelerate it. That and we americans are so selfish and arrogant. That we did not listen when the government finally started pushing out good policy under the Biden administration. Who barely did anything above and beyond the bare minimum.

          That just means this administration is made up of conspiracy cranks.

          They also paid Ashley Babbitt’s family $5m because she was rightfully killed while storming the capital.

          Not at all. To be clear I don’t think federal or state government should exist. However this is America. We don’t guarantee anyone a job or right to continue existing in general. Though we should considering the constitution sort of implies we should. Life, liberty, pursuit of happiness all that.

          Overstepping would have been forcefully vaccinating them without consent. Those that had legitimate reasons not to get vaccinated were exempted. Those that couldn’t meet the job requirements, or actively wanted to work to sabotage leaderships goals. Could have just been let go. But were still compensated. More than most people would get.
