Understandable frustration. Hexbear should know better than to ban criticism of socdems who have already shown that they don’t have the backbone not to capitulate to Zionist narratives. Still, the appropriate way to deal with that frustration is not by taking it out on your comrades. I empathize but this post is misguided.

Is everything alright? Don’t know what is going on, but it is maybe wise to log out for the rest of the day.

      SPIRITUALLY ISRAELI

This is way too close to the BS where people claim that it’s israel running the US instead of the other way around.

There’s already a term for what you’re talking about. Colonizer. Israel did not invent colonization by a long shot and if we were to go back in time and focus on a specific group as the originator, it’d probably make more sense to say modern colonizers are “spiritually British empire” or something. I can see how someone might arrive at using shock rhetoric of comparing people to israelis, but the problem in this case is that it implies israeli is uniquely awful in a way past colonization hasn’t been; not only does this feed into the narrative of giving israel power it doesn’t have, it actually absolves other colonizers of their history by implying what they did is not as bad (similar has happened with Hitler/Nazi rhetoric, with people in the US for example talking about it like the US was heroes who helped stop it, rather than recognizing that what the Nazis did was not dissimilar from what the US did in order to create its nation and the US collaborated with Nazis during and after WWII). Another way to say similar without that problem might be to say that if you are a colonizer, israel learned from you on how to do it and normalize it. Like how we say that the Nazis learned from Jim Crow laws (which is true).

This made me laugh out loud lmao.

I do find it interesting when western leftists get criticized they tend to get hostile even if it’s valid criticisms. I try to check my privilege at the door but sometimes I also forget.
