Donald Trump said he will sign an executive order to eliminate mail-in voting and voting machines before the 2026 midterms, days after Vladimir Putin told him US elections were rigged because of postal ballots.
“I am going to lead a movement to get rid of MAIL-IN BALLOTS,” Trump wrote in the lengthy Truth Social post Monday morning, also targeting “Highly ‘Inaccurate,’ Very Expensive, and Seriously Controversial VOTING MACHINES” which he claimed cost “Ten Times more than accurate and sophisticated Watermark Paper”.
The announcement followed Trump’s meeting with Putin in Alaska on 15 August, when the Russian president allegedly told him that the 2020 election “was rigged because you have mail-in voting”, according to Trump’s subsequent interview with Sean Hannity.

Not in Washington State counties. We have paper ballots and audit before and during each election against physical ballots, plus statistical error checking. Then we audit again to verify state reporting is correct. We’re holding the line!
That said. When your only choices are establishment offerings, you still have a problem, but it’s other than the election itself.

Why would he eliminate the voting machines? Fucker needs them to rig it in his favor. Hard to rig hand counted votes. Unless he going pull the have results in an hour after polls close stunt.
Both parties have historically complained about voting machines after they lose. It was a big democratic thing in 2018 and 2019 because Dominion and another company were selling machines with known vulnerabilities. Now in 2025 post Trump win it’s the voting machines helping Republicans win again.
But no one, not even the liberals who refused to believe America was stupid enough to vote Trump in again, hate voting machines as much as Trump post 2020. You gotta remember that Dominion fucking washed Fox News in a multi billion dollar lawsuit. I’m positive that win against trumps position still stings and when he’s thinking of killing machines, he’s thinking of destroying Dominion.
