Stop Killing Games Canadian Petition - Now Open For Signature

Petition E-4965 is the one that is posted to stopkillinggames.com, Ross Scott (Accursed Farms)'s campaign to end the practice of bricking games people have purchased, whenever the publisher doesn’t want to support it anymore.

It is open for signing by Canadian Citizens and Permanent Residents, until September 5th 2024.

Please spread the word to your Canadian friends and family who take interest in games, and please add your name to it to support this campaign to help preserve games in some form in perpetuity.

Thank you!

I just find it silly that the games that we payed for gets canned and becomes permanently unplayable

it’s not like software deteriorates in the same way food deteriorates,

        • plus emulators in the form of OS Virtual Machines exist so even that potential argument is mitigated

I find it silly that people continue to buy online forced games then get shocked when they can’t play after the online part is destroyed.

While I agree with the whole stop ruining games thing, people should stop buying them. This petition will fall on deaf ears since politicians don’t give two flying fucks about anything that doesn’t bribe them. So people NEED to stop buying this shit. Cripple these companies.
