I have this XSPC 240 Kit that I bought 9 years ago and ran for around 3. So I can safely say those parts were unused for at least 5 years. They were properly drained and stored in the original boxes.

I just assembled it outside my computer for 24hs and everything ran seemingly fine, without any leaks. The cheap clear hose I bought on the local hardware store stained almost immediately, but I wasn’t planning on using it long term anyway.

With that out of the way, here come the questions:

  1. Should I reuse the Reservoir/Rad/Pump after so much time? If so, how do I clean this stuff (seems to be the plasticizer from the old XSPC tubing).

I have some of this blue gunk inside the reservoir (not as much) and inside the fittings too.

The copper appears to be in good condition.

The pump impeller doesn’t have any scratches and also it doesn’t seem to be running rough.

  1. I plan on getting new fittings/hoses from Aliexpress. Probably Barrow or Icemancooler EPDM and some 10x16mm Barrow fittings. Do anyone recommnd them or should I spend double for the same length of Alphacool tubing?
  2. Would an additional 360mm be enough for a 6700XT and a 5600G? Those will be stacked on a 4u rack mounted case, Linus style.

Thanks in advance for any help.
