I am running a new 100A sub-panel to a garage through a 20 foot trench and I would also like to run a network cable. I was thinking direct burial shielded Cat6. The conduit with the power wires will be PVC and I would run the network cable separately. Some guidelines indicate 2” spacing which might be maintained for most but not all the tench. I would rather not run a second conduit in the same trench for aesthetics. Fiber could be an option, but I have no experience and I can’t seem to find direct burial. Advice appreciated.
