I’ve decided to allow discussions on the ethics around piracy. How you obtain your music/media is your business. However, if debates/discussions get nasty and/or hostile I’ll have to implement stricter rules. Feel free to discuss this in the comments.

I used to pirate a lot of content when I was younger. By the time I moved to my own place. I guess having to keep a budget, bought home to me that everyone deserves to make a living. I’m also a member of an audio engineering forum. A user there said one of the big problems with piracy, is it makes it difficult for new artists to break through. You may think you’re only skimming money off of the most rich artists, but it effects the whole music industry. Everyone from audio engineers, to music teachers, to roadies etc.
Having said all that, I’m not hear to preach, although I kinda just did. I do see one edge case use for piracy. If someone is in a country in the Global South and needs/wants access to western content. Thanks for posting a reply. I didn’t expect interaction so soon. Although EAC and foobar2000 are quite popular.
