Obviously not and tbh they should. Body ink doesn’t enhance beauty but substracts it. It is weird that people would prefer to cover their own natural beauty with an ink. More often than not the pursuit of ink is an attempt to cover up a preconceived notion of imperfection, which exists only in the mind. Admittedly this is a subjective matter but their is nothing weird in perfering nature over body enhancements.

Is this an official policy statement from the World Beauty Standards Council, or is this something that you’ve pulled out of your ass?

I thought I was expecting a lot that this might trigger a discussion on the nature of beauty. I ought to have realised that forums such as Lemmy World are not appropriate venues for intellectual discourse.

I thought I was expecting a lot that this might trigger a discussion on the nature of beauty.

You voluntarily posted a picture of a woman (presumably without asking permission), and opened “discussion” by using “shame about the body art”.

I ought to have realised that forums such as Lemmy World are not appropriate venues for intellectual discourse.

No, you ought to have considered tone and word choice, if what you wanted was intellectual discourse.

What you’ve done instead, is draw attention to your tendency to neg.

Ha! Go fuck yourself. Nobody’s body exists to be viewed by you. No body exists to please you.

Jesus fucking christ… I thought you calling one of the models “a female nude” was already weird incel talk but this really takes the cake. My guy, you’re not the embodiment of wisdom, let alone the one who dictates beauty or what women should do with their bodies. Tattoos can be very beautiful enhancements to ones body, but they can also be something very personal to the person, like a tribute to a lost person, or something symbolic for a special moment in their past. Maybe keep your judgemental thoughts to yourself.

Also, yes, you’re on lemmynsfw.com here. But if you want to hold intellectual discourses, then maybe start working on that intelligence first before you continue to share your downright idiotic opinions.

Except you’re not complaining about her using hair products, makeup, or wearing clothes. You have a line and that’s fine but keep it to yourself.

Fucking terrible take from an armchair psychologist. Gtfo with your completely unhinged and incredibly wrong dribble about something you obviously know nothing about.

You have no idea why anyone gets tattoos, since you obviously don’t have any. Guess what? People like them. They like the art and reminders and sometimes, it’s just because it’s a fucking fun thing to do.

You prefer no ink, fine. But don’t act holier-than-thou about it and pretend it’s some travesty to the world to have tattoos.

People don’t get them for your enjoyment or your incel take. They get them for themselves. You don’t get to dictate why other people do things they enjoy.
