It’s impressive how the West forms a big mass of left communists/libertarian socialists pseudo-radicals that often appeal to moralism or utopianism. They still don’t understand that most workers aren’t revolutionaries and many are even reactionary. But we still need those to make a revolution, and we need them to be organized. We need organized workers before we are able to get revolutionary workers.

          Exactly!

Like the other commenter said, lenin already discussed the issue. I don’t normally like acting like Sergei Flerov with his gong, but really the issue us already resolved with basic logic. If you’re getting debunked by Lenin from a century ago then you’re really not thinking right.

Also the fucking teacher bit is so dumb. Blaming the strikers for the consequences of things being shut down instead of the people who, yknow, exploit them is peak moralism. It makes me wonder what he thinks of things like the NHS or railway strikes in Britain.

His live channel and twitter is honestly a cesspit that I wouldn’t go anywhere near. Main channel stuff is (mostly) fine, but between his random slandering of Grover Furr [I’m not even going to say if Furr is correct or not, but BE basically just said “well I don’t think he would make good books, and his titles are too long, and he’s not a soviet historian” without actually reading anything], his whining about Aaron Bushnell [“wahhh, people want me to talk about a guy who self immolated himself. Well he was a US airman so why should I care (ignoring that Maduro also talked about Bushnell, and Maduro actually had a country to run)”], his bit where he’s like “I think trans people in the first world say they’re trans so they’re marginalized” (he deleted this), his doxxing of Bayarea 415 for…liking China? [No seriously like I don’t need BE to like China, but why tf did he care so much about this], his semi-consistent “enlightened anti-campism” [my term], and him generally just getting into fights on the internet (which range from justifiable like Kraut and H3 who are actually dangerous to his own personal safety, and less justifiable like the previously mentioned Bay Area.)

It’s that like, depending on when, 75-90% of his content are fine. And the other 10-25% is just baffling. It’s like having a dozen jelly donuts. Most donuts are filled with delicious anti-imperialist jelly, but then the baker decided to fill 2-3 with raw bees instead for no reason. Like, just stick with the Jelly please, id appreciate it.

Sorry this comment is so long, but really I think that’s my problem. He’s not a communist theory channel. He’s not Hakim or even Midwestern Marx when Midwestern Marx didn’t deserve to be put in a Gulag. He’s just anti-imperial. And that’s a good thing, but stick to that. If I made a channel it would most likely be to promote and explain Marxist Macro-Economic theory and historical materialism. I would not just take an aside occasionally to try to have an authoritative explanation of Sexology and Gender, because despite me having personal connections to those things, I haven’t researched those things and I’d probably be wrong. [Yes, I’m realizing that after typing all of this i could’ve just said “no investigation no right to speak” but fuck it, whatever]
