Last year, I announced my intention to rewrite Borderless Gaming from scratch to eliminate all bugs. Over the past year, I’ve made significant improvements, including rewriting the windowing engine, reducing system resource consumption, modernizing the user interface, and adding a wealth of new features.

Games that previously didn’t work now do. I introduced App Containers, which allow users to customize the appearance of game windows and even upscale them without introducing input latency. Additionally, new audio management features enable users to mute games in the background that don’t natively support this functionality. The new window engine allows users to customize all its behaviors through the new profile system.

With the rewrite complete, I’ll now focus on developing the new GPU pipeline, which will include BGUS (our advanced upscaler), BGFG (frame generation), and AC Shaders (which inject custom shaders into any game or overlay them.)

through the support of r/pcmasterrace almost a decade ago Borderless Gaming was greenlit on Steam while the Greenlight program was active. I am incredibly grateful to this community.

And if you are one of those gamers who still has a Windows XP machine somewhere, the new Borderless Gaming only supports down to Windows 7, but I did one last update to the legacy version you can find here
