Judge Aileen Cannon Failed to Disclose a Right-Wing Junket
—
Cannon, whose oversight of the Donald Trump classified documents case has garnered widespread criticism, has repeatedly violated a rule requiring that federal judges disclose their attendance at private seminars.

@ProPublica@newsie.social This boosts her bona fides for being the next GOP pick for SCOTUS, although the wacko federal judge (Matthew J. Kacsmaryk) in TX is a strong contender.
@ProPublica@newsie.social The resemblance to Chief Arkon Makbar in the DS9 Episode “Tribunal” is remarkable. IMHO.
@ProPublica@newsie.social ProPublica has uncovered so many of these sorts of abuses in the judiciary, one has to wonder if the judges getting caught are just too dumb to be judges. Can you impeach a judge for being stupid? I can imagine: “I would like to introduce evidence to the committee showing that Judge Aileen Cannon is as dumb as a rock.”
@ProPublica@newsie.social "It’s not the first time she has failed to fully comply with the rule.
In 2021 and 2022, Cannon took weeklong trips to the luxurious Sage Lodge in Pray, Montana, for legal colloquiums sponsored by George Mason, which named its law school for Scalia thanks to $30 million in gifts that conservative judicial kingmaker Leonard Leo helped organize."
@ProPublica@newsie.social She creeps me out. She has a stare that’s lost to morality, as my mom used to say
@ProPublica@newsie.social Fire Cannon

Public corruption; the hallmark characteristic of a Republican judge lacking integrity.

"In response to questions from ProPublica, the clerk in the Southern District of Florida wrote in an email that Cannon had filed the Sage Lodge trips with the federal judiciary’s administrative office but had “inadvertently” not taken the second step of posting them on the court’s website. She explained that “Judges often do not realize they must input the information twice.”Ethically challenged Cannon can issue a 93-page opinion controverting years of judicial precedence to benefit #MangoMussolini but she’s too feeble-minded to figure out disclosure rules that apply to herself. Sure. Got it.
@ProPublica@newsie.social IMPEACH!!!
