Everyone knows Gazans were dead set on thrashing and killing until one of the sides was dead and gone. The vast majority of Gazans do not want peace.

Everyone except Gazans knew which side would be dead if it went too far.

The only reason the people of Gaza aren’t doing this to Israel is because they literally just aren’t capable. When Gazans rushed out for their killing spree, it showed very clearly where their priorities lie. Killing the enemy for no other gain was more important than absolutely every other consideration.

Look, I have almost no sympathy for the people of Gaza. The little I have is in the form of thoughts that It would be best to get kids and mothers a safe escape route out to Egypt or somewhere else. I do recognize that Israel is still going too far and should lose support, they have really decided to become something we can’t possibly consider an ally and still tell ourselves we want to be an ethical alliance. But I really just don’t care that Gaza was the target of their brutality. Despite the power imbalance it still feels about as awful as bombardments of Berlin. I’d be curious what you think of the German lives lost. I personally don’t care. It’s a mild tragedy in comparison to what the Germans largely wanted and tolerated from their leadership.
