Journalistic skepticism isn’t magically exempt when someone dies
how can we get that mugshot?
“In April of 2017, the same month he became CEO of UnitedHeathcare’s Medicare & Retirement business, Thompson pled guilty to drunk driving, for which he served a couple days in jail at the Hennepin County Adult Corrections facility in Minnesota and later probation.”
Holy shit! Imagine if he killed a family. Wait. Imagine if he killed another family
If it isn’t already public, you could likely get it through a FOIA request.
Why is it that I feel, even if had no other impact on my work productivity; my employer would fire me if I were arrested and spent a few days in jail for DUI
or am I just being silly?
I worked for a company owner that wouldn’t hire you if you had a DUI and would check yearly, firing you if you had one. This included everyone.
It’s Minnesota, getting a DUI is practically a rite of passage. Also, the C-suite looks out for its own.
There are no such thing as Journalism anymore.
Like any criminal enterprise, the C-suite gang look out for one another
we need to deploy the “he was no angel” tactic the media usually uses against victims of police violence.
It’s hilarious how the moderators are Lemmy, specifically world, or removing anything about this. I’ve gone back to update several comments just to find the entire post was removed.
Seems like the new tactic is: let them say whatever they want but remove it later because moderation is too hard on a comment by comment basis
Ugh, is Lemmy.world turning into the new Reddit already?
Sadly yes, but hey, there are other instances
