We now have the precedent that felonies don’t disqualify a candidate, and a Supreme Court ruling that whatever the President does as an official act is legal. It’s our best shot at getting universal healthcare in the United States.

I see what you did there.
Thanks for noticing. It was just a figure of speech that morphed into a fully-intended pun.
I’m convinced
i do not like the possibility hinted at here that vd vance will get two terms after donvict.
He’s not qualified to be POTUS until he’s 35 years old.
Lol. Rules for a president? Not anymore.
Is a former president allowed to run an VP? What happens then if the president then dies, or steps down?
The 22nd amendment as written only places limits on being “elected to the office of the President”.
I have full confidence that those hacks, Roberts and Alito, could rule with a straight face that the 35-year-old minimum doesn’t apply for some bullshit reason, but they have to have something in it for themselves, and a case has to come before them. So, we’re stuck with it.
While a nice sentiment, no, no that just wouldn’t work. But would be nice if there was a party capable of actually giving a shit about lived experiences and the backbone to do something about it.
But you know, I’ll be happy if he is alive that far off in the future. Or us, for that matter.
