new threat category, “Nihilistic Violent Extremists” (NVEs), which was created earlier this year. The Bureau defines “Nihilistic Violent Extremism” as “criminal conduct… in furtherance of political, social, or religious goals that derive primarily from a hatred of society at large and a desire to bring about its collapse by sowing indiscriminate chaos.”

This does sound like a very appropriate category, but not for trans people.

Are any of the mainstream outlets reporting on this. I’m trying to explain what’s happening to my mother to look out for other family.

Nihilism is people I don’t like and the more I don’t like them the more nihilist they are.

This is class war mate. I’d learn that quick and not cling to some vague notion of generations used to divide us.

Hey. Don’t throw us under the bus. I was born in 63. Live in a suburb. Fat, bald, wife, kid - boring. But absolutely an ally. There’s no reason to reject me just because of demographics. You only harm the cause by thinking that way. When the fighting starts, we’ll provide safe houses, smuggle folks out of town, sabotage without suspicion.

Please reject the idea that old = complicit.

I apologize. I’ll do better going forward. I appreciate you being an ally. I took my daily interaction of being surrounded by non-ally boomers as a projection onto all boomers, and thats not right.

My brother/sister/neither/both, we all learn and improve ourselves every day. If we didn’t have regretful things in our past, we would not be moving forward. I have had MANY regretful opinions in my past that were hurtful. I grew.

Thank you for being open to me. Spread love and joy.

True-ish. I consider myself to be of Generation Jones. But that’s not what I get called.

The “generation” thing really kicked in for them. It wasn’t really a thing until the turn of the century. We all use to age together through “decades” once we were adults. Sure, you had different childhood TV shows and related to others more your age. But, really, it was not this insane divide among adults.

It expanded heavily as the ruling class needed a further divide to explain why the youngest workers were no longer able to build a life for themselves.

A lot of millennials fell for this. But by the time Gen Z hit college it was in full force. When they went to look for jobs it was even worse than millennials had it. Further empowering the alienation they felt from their elders within the working class.

It’s why you get the “waiting for the boomers to die” people. They’ll wait the entire span of their labor years. And grow up and become the new out of touch and tired people looking to work within the political system to maintain what little they built.
