I’m on the verge of stepping away from Reddit (I might stick around to moderate some communities but won’t be actively engaging with the content). I’d like to bring over the things I enjoyed from Reddit, specifically some communities I liked. I’m curious about how well they would do here or on an instance like lemmy.world. Most of the communities I participated in on Reddit were black focused, which often brought in trolls or upset users. 💀

I think this community fits the topic. Fracturing a community even further to make it more specific a niche, is not helpful.

That is a acceptable response, functional, respectful disagreement is good! Can you share more about why you think that though? What could this community do that a new one for the specificness of the one you want?

I’m not entirely sure how this will come across, but I believe it’s best for this group to remain as it is. I understand that some may disagree, but I’ve been feeling uncertain about the term ‘POC.’ Not every one of us will share the same experiences, and I think it’s perfectly acceptable for those of us who wish to create spaces that reflect our individual cultures. I believe we can coexist positively, as long as we maintain respect for one another.
