I’m trying to run Ubuntu from USB. I used Rufus and Ubuntu ISO to create a bootable USB drive.

I can boot into Linux and run it in “try Ubuntu” mode.

Is this the same as running Ubuntu off USB?

Or is there a way to have a permanent installation of Ubuntu on USB?

Is there a difference in performance of I install it on USB? Or does it just get rid of all Install Ubuntu prompts?
