Hi. About RDP server issues: In my work I’m forced to use ubuntu 20.04. I installed xrdp server, for connecting from windows via rdp/remote desktop protocol. The problem is that just after successful entering my users credentials, password, the connection dies. With systemctl status or from the log I see: “xrdp_mm_connect_chansrv: error in trans_connect chan” and it tries a few times and then gives up, it probably takes around 6-8 seconds in total. I googled this problem a lot and found this: - which sounds completely like my problem. But 20.04 is LTS so does it mean xrdp isnt updated as and tomorrow I have to begin looking into maybe compiling a newer version of xrdp? Should I add a repository for a newer xrdp or it the default good enough? I’m normally on arch Linux, so sorry I’m not too familiar with the ubuntu way. Also Ive removed and reinstalled xrdp maybe 4-5 times today and google is no longer any help. The weird thing though is it actually worked for around 1-2 hours yesterday but then I installed gdm / gnome and other stuff, rebooted and not it just wont work! Any hints/ideas? I think I also tried reinstalling xorg, but it’s just incredible annoying, thanks for any ideas/recommendations!
